Company Description:/h3:
Hospice of Yuma is located in sunny Yuma Arizona, having served this community since 1981. We are the only non:profit Hospice in Yuma County and our mission is to provide the highest quality and compassionate care possible to the terminally ill and their families in our community.
Yuma County has a diverse population and is located in the Sonoran desert along the Colorado River, in the southwest corner of Arizona. Yuma borders California and Mexico. We have many Mexican Restaurants with delicious Mexican cuisine. The Hospice of Yuma staff is also multicultural, allowing us to serve the needs of this diverse population. Yuma is a very giving and supportive community, taking care of friends, neighbors and strangers in need.
Yuma averages 350 days of sunshine a year with lakes for boating and fishing, rivers for tubing in the hot summers, and nearby sand dunes for off road enthusiasts. We also have hiking trails to explore the desert wilderness, mountains, and wide open space for camping. The summers are hot but we enjoy average winter temperatures in the low 70s. Festivals and events are held throughout the year and we have six golf courses, and a national wildlife refuge. We are only 2 1/2 hours from Phoenix or San Diego and 3 hours from Tucson for a quick weekend getaway.
