Description:Harvest Preparatory Academy is a public charter school serving PreK-12. HPA is dedicated to providing students a dynamic academic program of student centered instruction in a college preparatory setting. We are currently accepting resumes for an ELL and Federal Programs Clerk. This position has the potential for the right candidate to become the Federal Programs Coordinator.Duties:Act as a liaison between the school system and the Arizona Department of Education on Title I and other federal programs issues.Oversee state project applications; assist in writing instructional program descriptions; assist in determining appropriate program areas to meet the needs of eligible students; prepare tutorial project descriptions; assist in developing and planning project descriptions for parental involvement.Interpret and monitor compliance to federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; prepare written response to audit reports; initiate follow-up procedures to correct site violations.Work with principals, teachers, and staff to evaluate program effectiveness; identify needs for improvement; and seek creative ways to address identified needs.Investigate, pilot, and evaluate new programs as needed for enabling at-risk students to become successful learners.Build a strong parent-educator involvement program to teach parents how to help their children learn.Work with the special assistant to the superintendent to investigate and apply for federal grants which will further the good of the district.Manage, direct, and administer all federal programs, including staff development coordination, grant budget, evaluation, and grant renewal.Maintain E-Rate Grant, forms, and files.Attend and participate in professional groups and committees and related offsite conferences or trainings.Perform related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferred and minimum three years secretarial experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
