Job Description
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm
OVERVIEW
NuCO2 is the largest, best and a national provider of beverage grade liquid CO2, onsite N2 generation and storage, to the Foodservice and Hospitality Industry.
The employee shall conduct themselves following the five pillar of safety, leading by example, while fostering a positive safe work environment.
The flex resource is a multi-tasked individual that is capable of working as a Driver, Installer / Technician, Depot Supervisor, and/or trainer depending on the need of the company. The flex resource will travel to fill in for vacations, provide additional manpower for route shortages and install roll outs for new business. Training where needed for new and existing employees for safety training or cross training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
+ A Flex Resource Technician will be required to fill in as a Delivery Driver, Installer / Technician, and/or Depot Supervisor due to manpower shortages within the specified Districts or other Districts, as needed.
+ A Flex Resource Technician will be required to address and or report any depot compliance issues to their District Manager and/or District Safety Manager.
Note: when in a Supervisory capacity a Flex Resource Technician will be responsible for these Daily, Weekly, Bi-Monthly, Monthly, and Annual activities, as communicated to him by the District Manager:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Have the ability to direct the Tech / Driver Supervisor, Technician, or any Driver in any task or directive.
+ Have the ability to train new associates and provide safety training.
+ Have the ability to supervise any depot location.
+ Adheres to and enforces the organization s policies, procedures, Federal/State applicable laws and municipal regulations.
+ Responsibilities can include interviewing, hiring, road testing, and training associates.
+ Job responsibilities also include resource planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving all depot concerns.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Travel in region or nationally, including multiple overnight stays, depending on the need of the company for a minimum of 50% or more of the time.
+ Need to be flexible enough to travel with minimal notice.
+ Ability to lead and motivate subordinates through a positive safety first, goal oriented, and productive mindset.
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret established SOP s, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Have the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and by email) all SOP s installation challenges to the Scheduler, Sales, Ops. Managers, and Safety Departments.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate within and outside of the organization
+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
+ Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
+ Have basic knowledge of the permitting procedures, where applicable.
+ Basic mathematical skills addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages, decimals, and division.
+ Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
+ Experience using UltiPro, Digital Dashboard, E-Pal, Nu Routes, Microsoft Office products, to assist the depot management preferred.
+ Experience with Hazardous Material and pressurized gas systems preferred.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
+ Associates degree or bachelors preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ A minimum of two years experience as a supervisor preferred.
+ Minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience in a similar vehicle in the past 3 years.
+ Must have a clean driving record that meets NuCO2 s Safety Point System.
+ Strong mechanical ability and basic knowledge of building construction process required.
+ Previous experience in plumbing, cable installation, or construction experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
+ CDL Minimum Class B
+ HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
+ Tanker endorsement
+ No air brake restrictions
+ Medical Card required
+ Maintain Boiler License where applicable.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Must be able to wear all required PPE, (Hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, steel toed boots, and gloves as required).
+ Must be able to direct lift up to 55 lbs. and frequently maneuver (pull/push) 56 - 175 lbs.
+ Must be able to occasionally maneuver an appliance dolly with a CO2 tanks weighing up to 750 lbs. and 6 ft. tall using a handcart.
+ Ability to climb in and out of truck multiple times a day.
+ Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces while reaching over head.
+ Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and crawling.
+ Must be able to work at different height levels.
+ Must be able to work in an outside environment while tolerate extreme temperatures (hot or cold depending upon season and depot location).
+ Have the ability pull and retrace a fill hose with distances up to 100 feet.
+ Must be able to wear company required uniforms.
